Google Introduces Android Wear

Extending its Android platform to wearables outside of its own Glass project, Google has unveiled Android Wear. Designed with smartwatches in mind and set to eventually roll out to other types of yet-to-be-revealed wearables, the operating system pulls in contextual updates to put preemptive searches just a glance away. Naturally, the design also includes messaging notifications and voice command capabilities, while Google also promises that your favorite fitness applications will offer the likes of speed- and distance-tracking. Check out a brief introduction to the OS below and look for Android Wear to debut on a bevy of brand new smartwatches as soon as this summer. via Hypebeast.com
