adidas Originals has partnered with street artist WANTO for a Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
The artist's style comes through in the collection, which stemmed from his desire to create an ideal outfit for work. A blacked-out tracksuit and pants are complemented with yellow accents and reflective material along the sleeves for night time graffiti bombings. There is also a white tee that pairs with the fit. For the footwear aspect, WANTO has taken the Yung-1 and given it the same color palette as the clothing. He chose the silhouette because it recalls the '90s, the era he was born in.
An immersive I Want Candi art installation is open to the public today and tomorrow from 3-9 p.m. at the adidas Brooklyn Farm space. The collection will launch on May 30. via FreshnessMag.com
